Scale: An Acoustic Panel that Moves With You

Oct 11, 2018

Most acoustic panels are affixed to a wall and unadjustable. This is fine if your workspace is static in its structure and design, but what happens when it requires greater flexibility? Enter: Scale
Benjamin Hubert, a designer for Layer, has created an acoustic partitioning product abilities for Woven Image called Scale, which utilizes environmentally sustainable materials, such as recycled and pressed hemp in its shell-like structure.

After three years of development and fifteen different prototypes, Scale is finally available and on the market. Scale functions as a mobile room divider that absorbs noise, thereby addressing the need for sound dampening in open workspaces.

The tiles attach to a molded ABS framework that is fastened to aluminum plates. Scale’s user-friendly mechanical fittings make it easy to assemble and take apart as needed.

With its intelligent design and simple mobility, Scale makes a great addition to any dynamic and flexible work environment.
