Acoustic Dampening Designs by Eva Zeisel

May 22, 2019

Eva Zeisel, an industrial designer known for her work with ceramics, passed away in 2011. Although she’s no longer with us, her designs live on.
FilzFelt adapted some of Zeisel’s ceramic designs as inspirations for modular acoustic dampening tiles. They appropriately named it the Eva Zeisel Collection.
The first product in this collection is the Hourglass Space Dividers. These tiles are hourglass in shape and rest against each other to generate a zigzag design.

The idea behind The Spindle Block panels arose from Zeisel’s Bellybutton Space Divider, a design she released in 1958.

The Bottle Block design was born from Zeisel’s prototypes of Coca-Cola bottles. The tiles fit comfortably against each other to form a wavy and fluid appearance.

The Fish Block looks like a school of fish swimming across your wall. Install them horizontally for a playful pattern, or position them vertically for a scale-like appearance.

There are many tile designs to choose from in this collection. Each one has a unique twist that will add a sense of play to the space in which they are installed.
