FROM MIDTOWN MANHATTAN BY AUTOMOBILE: Take the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Gowanus Expressway heading south (towards the VerrazanoNarrows Bridge). Get off at the 39th Street exit on the right-hand side of the Gowanus Expressway, just past Bush Terminal; that will bring you to 39th Street and 2nd Avenue. Make a left at the end of the ramp and go straight to 58th Street. Make a right, and the entrance to the Brooklyn Army Terminal is at 58th Street and 1 st Avenue. Travel time: approximately 25 minutes.
FROM MIDTOWN MANHATTAN BY SUBWAY: Take the 2, 3, 4 or 5 to Atlantic Avenue. Transfer to the N or R (Atlantic becomes Pacific) and go to the 59th Street station. Exit at 59th Street and 4th Avenue. The entrance to the Brooklyn Army Terminal is at 58th Street and 2nd Avenue. Travel time: approximately 35 minutes.
FROM LONG ISLAND BY AUTOMOBILE: Take the Northern Parkway, Southern Parkway or LI E to the Cross Island Parkway. Exit at the Belt Parkway Exit 1, which is 68th Street and 2nd Avenue. Make a left at the first light, and the entrance to the Brooklyn Arrny Terrninal is at 65th Street and 2nd Avenue.
FROM LONG ISLAND BY TRAIN: Take the LlRR to Penn Station, then take the 2 or 3 subway line to Atlantic Avenue. Transfer to the N or R (Atlantic becornes Pacific) and go to the 59th Street station. Exit at 59th Street and 4th Avenue. The entrance to the Brooklyn Army Terminal is at 58th Street and 2nd Avenue.
FROM NEW JERSEY BY AUTOMOBILE: Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 13, Goethals Bridge. Follow the Staten Island Expressway to the VerrazanoNarrows Bridge. This will lead you to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE). Take the BQE to the 65th Street exit. Make a left and go through four traffic lights. Make another left onto 65th Street and 2nd Avenue and drive to Brooklyn Arrny Terrninal, which is at 58th Street and 2nd Avenue.
FROM SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY BY AUTOMOBILE: Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 11. Take the Outerbridge Crossing Route 440 to the Staten Island Expressway and get on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Follow the directions above.
FROM THE BRONX BY AUTOMOBILE: Take the Major Deegan to FOR Drive. Frorn FDR Drive, either take the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel or the Brooklyn Bridge to the BQE heading south towards the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Get off at the 39th Street exit on the right-hand side of the Gowanus Expressway, just past Bush Terminal; that will bring you to 39th Street and 2nd Avenue. Make a left at the end of the rarnp and go straight to 58th Street. Make a right, and the entrance to the Brooklyn Army Terminal is at 58th Street and 1 st Avenue.
FROM CONNECTICUT BY AUTOMOBILE: Take 1-95 south to the Major Deegan Expressway to FDR Drive, then follow directions above.
